Taking a break from my toy photography spam for a bit of landscape.
Zambales: only 4 hours away from the Metro, and with plenty of eye-candy for landscape photographers.
In my collection so far, the toy I've been shooting most often has been Danbo, but that is mainly due to convenience.
The figurines that I've really enjoyed shooting were the characters from the anime Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica since most of the characters have distinct themes, motifs, and scenes associated with them. The series makes use of very evocative images, and trying to recreate/represent them in photographs somehow feels more rewarding than usual.
I got home last Thursday to the sight of a crescent moon faintly veiled by clouds as it hung some 15° over the horizon. 5 minutes later, the camera, tripod, and figurine were set up ... and the moon was nowhere to be seen.
We had clear skies for a few hours earlier this morning (a rare occurrence these days) so I though I could give this month's competition a shot (theme: nightscape).
