This event was somewhat reminiscent of Canon's Photomarathon with the multiple locations, but the notable difference is that this year's Photolympics was held concurrently at Manila, Baguio, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro (Canon typically holds them on separate days).
The morning assembly was done at Remedios Circule, but we later marched to the main venue which was Robinson's Place Manila.
The place brings back memories since this was where the Philippine Cosplay Convention used to be held annually, but the 9th and last iteration was way back in 2016.
2025 theme: "Pasyal kayo sa amin"
I really appreciate how we weren't confined to the mall for this year. For contrast, last year's theme was "celebrating life at SM MOA".

I also got to try out the newly released EOS R6 mark III as well as the RF 45mm f/1.2.
At roughly Php25k, the new lens is a cheaper, lighter, and more compact alternative to the to the 50mm f/1.2 L behemoth.
Besides participating in the competition, my other objective for the day was to find a photography club to join.
I thought this would seem easy enough given the number of photographers at the event, but I had only 1 person (Niko Shinn Cruz, an old acquaintance) provide a helpful suggestion.
