Sure, the Powershot S110 is no slouch, but I've been quite dependent lately on radio-triggered flash and bokeh. It's hard to go back.
Since I already expected the other photographers at the event to provide the "playful" camera angles, I took the opportunity as a secondary shooter to experiment with reverse panning to blur the background. This marked the first time I had used to technique for portraits. Prior to this, I had I had only used the technique for street photography and toy photography.
