Two-light setup:Main light: off-camera flash, manual mode, FlashBender reflector
Fill light: on-camera flash, diffuser, bounced off ceiling
The addition of the fill flash makes the shadows on the subject less harsh. Unfortunately, the diffused light also means that it's more difficult to underexpose the background.
The external flash units and radio triggers have been giving me a headache recently with their tendency to fail in 1 out of every 8 shots. I may have to switch to a more reliable lighting system in the future.
